Legal Dictionary

Many Non-Dissolution litigants (non-married parties or parties who are married but have not filed for dissolution) mistakenly go into court without an attorney. An attorney is necessary to protect your interest. Family law issues are complicated and confusing. You need a knowledgable person in court on your behalf to articulate your desires and objections. Most often a litigant goes into court knowing exactly what they want to say, and out of fear, never tell the judge exactly what they intended to say. If this happens to you, you will have to file another application to explain your viewpoint. A return court date will take approximately 4-6 weeks.

Generally there are exceptions to every rule in Family Law. If you do not recognize that your particular needs fall into one of these exceptions, you will not receive all that you are entitled to and get only what you ask for. The court will not argue your case for you. You will be expected to know these exceptions, if they apply to your case, before you go to court.

The Law Offices of Dianne Glenn will represent your best interests in and out of court. I will keep you updated on the status of anything that is necessary in preparation of your court date.

You will be provided with a telephone number to reach me 24 hours a day, should you have questions or need to provide additional information. I work for you. You can reach me, in person, by email, or on the telephone, at your convenience.

I will provide you with quality legal services at affordable prices. I offer low cost initial consultations.

A payment plan can be arranged to insure that cost won't be the deciding factor why you attempt to represent yourself in court.

DO NOT GO TO COURT WITHOUT AN ATTORNEY!
